We didn’t get into Salt Lake City until about 4:30 in the morning. We were woken up in the morning by a sprinkler outside the University of Utah student apartments. Forced to move, we got about an hour of sleep behind a church before they came to mow the lawn. After those few hours of sleep, we started walking downtown. Hanging out in the library, we tried to figure out how to get out of Salt Lake City and which direction we should go. Alan played a game outside the library with some new friends called “Library Roulette” which involved sitting in the fountain until it went off, and the last one in wins. It was a very refreshing game because Salt Lake City is really hot. After the library, we got some free breadsticks from Little Caesar’s Pizza and then hitched a ride to a gas station on the highway. From there we hitched another ride up to Park City, where we drank a couple of beers with some locals. They were very welcoming – they bought us some food and then took us to a free concert on top of the ski slopes. And the plot thickens… At the concert, we ended up onstage and let everyone at the concert (about 1000-1600 people) know about The Road to Lebanon and what we were doing. At the end of the show, people came up to us and gave us food, shelter, and money. Now we are walking down the street to have a beer with some locals and then go stay with our new friends, The Floures,

Awesome! I love it! The crowd must have amazing. Be well, and keep the updates coming. Keeping track of all three teams is great. Always looking forward to the next post.
WTG!
Great way to get your message out when you have a captive audience.

One morning the Team Lynn members and three experienced travelers were in a ticket line at a train station. The three Team Lynn members each bought a ticket and watched as the three experienced travelers bought just one ticket.
"How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket", asked one of the Team Lynn members?
"Watch and learn," answered one of the experienced travelers.
All six boarded the train where the three Team Lynn members sat down, but the three experienced travelers crammed into a toilet together and closed the door.
Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around to collect tickets. He
knocked on the toilet door and said, "Ticket, please." The door opened just a crack
and a single arm emerged with a ticket in hand. The conductor took it and moved on.
The Team Lynn members saw this happen and agreed it was quite a clever idea, so clever they decided to do the same thing on the next train trip to save some money.
The Team Lynn members and the three experienced travelers stayed in the same town and on the next day when they got back to the station, the Team Lynn members bought a single ticket for the trip and watched, while to their astonishment, the three experienced travelers s didn't buy even one ticket.
"How are you going to travel without a ticket?" asked one of the perplexed Team Lynn members.
"Watch and learn," answered the three experienced travelers in unison.
When they boarded the train, the three Team Lynn members crammed themselves into a toilet and the three experienced travelers crammed into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train began to move, one of the experienced travelers left their toilet and walked over to the toilet in which the Team Lynn members were hiding.
The experienced traveler knocked on the door and said, "Ticket, please."
Funny thing about the above story is that for the most part it is true, except for the fact of team lynn being inexperienced, see we haven't paid for public transportation yet, and that's all we've been able to take considering nobody picks up hitchhikers in the northeast. Sorry to dissappoint all but we can't provide out secrets we have learned along the way.
wow...it's just getting better and better!! Hope ben and alan were able to play a little bit on stage :-)
I was hoping to hear that Kelly was singing on stage. Possibly a tune from the ice cream shop days! Who knows, you might have had some ice cream to go with those beers. Sounds like guys are having a Great experience. See you next week!! :-)
